I like stats like this. Is there any way to calculate the number of uploaders per 10,000 shows? Obviously there are more uploaders every year, but I'd be interested to see what the growth has looked like.

there are a total of 5,069 uploaders to etree. Seven uploaders have uploaded over 1,000 shows each. there were 1,160 different uploaders this year.

now that it has been almost 2 years since the last stats post dump, it would be great to see another Xtifr / Jeff stats dump

are we up to 2,000,000 tracks yet?

Thanks! I thought that the number of uploaders would be MUCH larger, but when you do the math it's only 21 shows per uploader. I don't know if you've already done anything, but there definitely should be some kind of recognition once someone uploads 1,000 shows.

when we hit 100K shows we sent out archive hats and LMA pins to about 1,000 folks who uploaded at least 10 shows.

And I wear my archive.org hat when I go to shows (I wish that the button was a sticker), but I meant something like having a list of the seven people who've uploaded over 1,000 shows on the main page of the LMA (maybe under the list of Contributors) or even something as simple as recognizing them in these update threads. Since only seven people have done that I think that it deserves some kind of recognition.

I have no way of figuring it out, but I know of at least three - me, John D aka oleo86 and Ed Hall aka scoogy (who, as it turns out, has EXACTLY 1000 uploads). Matt Vernon and Steve Swartz obviously have that many, though not to the LMA collection. I'm sure I could figure out a few others given enough time.

...of course since we're only talking 7 people. it would be easy to ask their permission. I give mine. 1000 shows is a hell of a lot of shows. Mine are mostly from cassettes, and they take about 5 hours each. (It used to take a lot
longer than that). And thanks, greenone, I've wondered where I fit on that list! :)
